WINSTON-SALEM, NC — We are very sorry for Senator Richard Burr and his family and hope they and all of us receive mercy. Each of us could have been in his place of wrongdoing. 

Senator Burr should not be re-elected, in fact he should be arrested and removed from office. He has violated many U.S. and International laws. Sen. Burr has initiated, funded, conspired and waged illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He and co-conspirators have been guilty of War Crimes for years in "these Wars of Aggression which caused the death, maiming and displacement of millions in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as the death and physical and mental scarring of thousands of American soldiers." Sen. Burr and co-conspirators many times approved funds which were used to buy bombs and bullets to murder and maim tens of thousands of Iraqi, Afghan and Pakistani children.

A memo has been released by Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair listing 40 separate briefings beginning in September 2002 in which leading members of Congress were briefed by the CIA on the agency's use of torture. Before the knowledge of this prisoner torture appeared in the media none of these legislators objected to or publicly protested against what amounted to War Crimes. At the following link in this CIA memo of "Member Briefings of Enhanced Interrogation Techniques (EITs)" Sen. Burr is shown to be complicit in the U.S. torture of prisoners - War Crimes.

We are saddened to report it but Sen. Burr should be arrested and removed from office. He is a War Criminal.
